During the Industrieforum 2006, a two day symposium organized
by the company together with their partners yearly in the
south-german Augsburg, CADENAS has introduced PARTwarehouse.
In front of an enthusiastic audience (more than 300 prospectives)
Jürgen Heimbach (CEO of the CADENAS AG) and his employees
demonstrated a tool for incomparable cost saving and standardization
possibilities within the engineering department.
PARTsolutions used by more than 2500000 users traditionally
has a geometric identification function for standardization
and to avoid doublets with purchased parts, PARTwarehouse
does more or less the same with design parts.
PARTwarehouse looks over the shoulder if the designer constructs
something new.
A very intelligent system of geometric parameters compares
the “new” design in each phase of the process
with the designs stored in the database (for example by
a PDM system), because of that many time can be saved and
it is avoided that in the end more or less identical parts
are stored into the warehouse.
PARTwarehouse can be combined with every commen CAD-, PDM-
and ERP-system.
